The Wolfsonian Museum's shop and café, auditorium, classroom, conference room and entrance lobby feature state-of-the-art audio/visual capabilities. The venue is available for corpporate and social events, meetings and conferences. Tours of the galleries may be included as part of your event.

Event Spaces

ENTRY HALL

Accommodates up to 80 for seated lunch or dinner, or 180 for a cocktail reception. Ideal for cocktail receptions, formal dinners and intimate weddings. The space features high vaulted ceilings with ornamental stonework and an elegant Art Deco fountain flanked by a site-specific Lawrence Weiner installation.

THE WOLFSONIAN CAFÉ

Accommodates up to 40 for a seated lunch or dinner and up to 80 for a cocktail reception. This space is ideal for small cocktail receptions, luncheons, casual dinners and bridal/baby showers. The space features Michelle Oka Doner-designed gleaming terrazzo floor, Bizzarra glass tile installation and tabletops.

AUDITORIUM

Accommodates up to 110 seated auditorium-style, 75 for seated lunch or dinner and 150 when customized as a lounge/VIP area. Ideal for screenings, lectures, intimate performances, board meetings, staff retreats, press conferences and lounge/VIP set-up. The fully customizable space is a state-of-the-art screening room, auditorium and lecture hall and features graded seating illuminated by five Art Deco chandeliers. 

SECOND FLOOR VESTIBULE (PRIVATE SPACE)

Accommodates up to 60 for seated lunch or dinner and up to 80 for a cocktail reception. The fully customizable space is ideal for small cocktail receptions and private dinners, and features objects from the Wolfsonian's collection including furniture from the First Class Milan Train Station Lounge.

THE DIRECTOR'S CONFERENCE ROOM (PRIVATE SPACE)

Accommodates 28 for seated luncheons and up to 40 for meetings. Ideal for board meetings, staff retreats, press conferences, small cocktail receptions, luncheons and formal dinners. The space features brightly colored Art Deco stained glass panels and is fully equipped for audio/visual and  telecommunication.


Location

The Wolfsonian is located at 1001 Washington Avenue in the heart of historic Miami Beach, surrounded by the area's famous Art Deco hotels. The Art Deco District was added the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Hundreds of buildings built between 1923 and 1943 make up the largest concentration of Art deco buildings in the world.

The Museum

The Wolsonian's collection includes over 180,000 objects from the 1850s to the 1950s in a variety of media such as furniture; industrial design objects; works made of glass, ceramic and metal; rare books; periodicals; ephemera; paintings; textiles and medals. The collection spans the 100 years from the Industrial Revolution through the aftermath of the second world war and is renowned for its unrivaled collection of modern material culture.
